I was flipping channels (home sick, bleh) and I came across The Real World (Paris). One girl had a somewhat drunken night out and lost her purse. She called home and was talking to her mom who told her if she can't stop drinking once she starts, just not to start. (Fair enough.) SThe girl toldher mom she was sorry, her mom was going to see some stuff about her on TV that she wouldn't particularly like, and her mom said "You have to make us proud. I told you you weren't strong enough." Thanks, mom. And you wonder why the girl drinks!

Somehow, at least one of the participants in each season of the Real World will have a completely mean and awful parent. I suspect they must interview the parents as well as the participants to make sure of this.

You should have to get a license before you are allowed to breed. Or at least be forced to take some basic lessons in how not to fuck up your kids.
