Thank you! I had forgotten finding your journal--I read so sporadically sometimes I don't read updates from you for months. When I do, I especially love stories of your students. :)

Your "tact filters" essay is something that really sticks with me. I bring it up every few years among different groups of friends and it always seems to strike a chord with at least some of the listeners. As it did last night with a group largely composed of members (or alums) of the Harvard-Radcliffe Science Fiction Association.
