In a town of 5,000, over 10 percent of the blacks in town and a few whites who had had relationships with blacks were arrested as drug traffickers, all on charges trumped up by one bigoted cop. And local juries convicted them one after another until they saw the way the wind was blowing and started pleading guilty. Not a shred of evidence but this asshole's word.
I'm not sure why this article was posted this week when the events are years old and it's been in the press for months (Tulia timeline ), but hell, it's the first I'd heard of it. What a disgrace.
