I mean, there *is* an issue here. It's different to be identified as gay or a gay-focused artist after you're successful than initially when you're trying to become known.

The sad thing is that, by doing this, Michelle Mayfield has gotten herself more attention in a week than she probably has gotten in her entire career.

And, even worse, she'll probably gain some fans because of it. Hopefully, not as many as she loses.
