and division of labor...

[livejournal.com profile] rmd freaks out a bit at spiders in her space. (Spider on a tree, just fine. Spider on her table, not fine.) I don't. I escort them out or in rare cases kill them.

I freak out hugely about ticks. EsPECially in bed with me. She doesn't. She deals.

I'm going back to bed as soon as my heart stops racing.

Next time a tick is on me and I'm trying to fling it somewhere not-me, I will aim for not-her as well. But she dealt anyway.

Other than that, the geocaching was fun today. ;-)

Ticks are the WORST.

I hate both spiders and ticks. I hope Trowa deals with both better than I do. ;-)

Well, okay, I like spiders in theory. In theory, they are fascinating and useful. In practice, however, if they're in my space, they need to go away. Especially if they're larger than, say, a quarter inch in diameter. Especially if I can see hairs on them. Especially if they're within 5 feet of my person.

As for ticks, well, they have no redeeming qualities whatsoever and must die swiftly, and possibly even horribly.

I am so with you on the spiders. I think I should like them, but they completely freak me out. Bugs are much less of a big deal. It might have something to do with quantity of legs (the things with 23459873495 legs in Chicago freaked me out, too), or maybe it's the way they move. Whatever it is, my reaction is completely visceral and illogical.

I can't say I've had enough experience with ticks to have formed an opinion on them. I think I encountered one once at eleven years of age, and my dad got rid of it for me. I don't even rememebr what it was like, just that there was one.

Actually, almost all bugs freak me out. My general rule (with a very few exceptions) is that I don't like anything with more than four legs. :-} Some six-legged things are okay. Eight or more legs are right out.

Too many legs, the way they move, the way they look so alien...*shudder* Oh, and I especially hate stinging and/or biting things with too many legs.

i've had so much experience with ticks that they're just part of my regular world. growing up, spending the summers on the edge of a marshy area and owning dogs, summer evenings were spent sitting around pulling ticks off of the dogs. (and sometimes off of me)

spiders kind of freak me out when i don't expect them, though.

I usually have so many cats on my head that the ticks would head for them and not me, I would think.

See, now, when I go out for some liesure activities, I usually bring back souvenirs of the postcard and shotglass variety.

This is what you get for being creative! ;-)
