Boston Marathon
Apr. 15th, 2002 03:17 pmSo today I *actually* watched the Marathon (see the entry from a week ago) and it's just so much fun. The wheelchair winners were cruising along with no opposition within minutes of them. The men's and women's foot races were exciting close things. And then there are wonderful things like Dick Hoyt, who is 62 years old, and for the 22nd time has pushed his son in a wheelchair along the whole race. In under three hours. Just incredible. I love the mix of world class racing and local color the Boston Marathon has.
